You can keep track of your tasks on your computer or phone by adding in your Gmail account.


Open Tasks

  1. Go to your Gmail Account.

  2. If you can't see Tasks, click the arrow in the bottom right of the screen to expand the panel.

  3. Then click Tasks.


Create a Task or Edit a Task

When you create a task, you can add details like set a date and time, add subtasks or make it repeat on certain days. 

Also, If you add a date and time to your task, you'll get mobile notifications at the scheduled dates and times. For tasks that have a date but don't have time, you'll get notifications at 9 am.  


Create a Task

  1. Go to Gmail or Calendar

  2. Click Tasks.

  3. At the top, click Add a Task.

  4. Enter a Task.

  5. To add a date and time or make a Task repeat, click Edit then Add date/time.


   


Add a Task from an Email

  1. Go to Gmail.

  2. Click Tasks.

  3. Drag the email you want to save as a Task to the right-side panel.

  4. To add a date and time or make a Task repeat, click Edit then Add date/time.


Note: The task can’t repeat if it has subtasks.


 

Add a Task From the Calendar

  1. Go to Calendar. 

  2. At the top, click next to the date. 

  3. Click Task. 

  4. Enter your Task details. 

  5. Click Save. 



Copy Your Reminders into Tasks

  1. Go to Gmail or Calendar. 

  2. On the right, click Tasks.

  3. Click More copy reminders to Tasks. 

  4. At the bottom, choose your options. 


Note: You can't copy reminders from Keep.


Change a Task 

  1. Go to Gmail or Calendar. 

  2. Click Tasks.

  3. Click Edit on the Task you want to change.

  4. Change the Task info. 

(If the task you want to change is a recurring task, then to change the date and time of the next task in the series, click the date. To edit the date and time for all tasks scroll down at the bottom, click the repetition info.)

  1. Then Click Back.


Mark a Task as Complete 

  1. Go to Gmail or Calendar.  

  2. Click Tasks.

  3. To the left of the Task, click Complete.


Delete a Task 

  1. Go to Gmail or Calendar. 

  2. At the right, click Tasks.

  3. Click the Task, you want to delete, click Edit and then Delete.


Note: You can delete all the completed tasks by clicking More: Delete all completed tasks.



For deleting a Task in a repeating series: 

  1. Go to Calendar.

  2. You will see a  pop-up of the instance of the Task you want to delete. 

  3. Click the Delete icon, This Task or All the past and future Tasks option.
