Benefits of using Yammer (Microsoft Enterprise Social Network)

Yammer is a social networking tool through which you can openly connect and engage across your organization. It is included in Microsoft 365 Plans and caters to various important organisational communication.

Once you sign up with your Microsoft Email ID, you can access Yammer by clicking on the Yammer Icon from the All apps options, also you can download Mobile application from Playstore -

In Yammer, you can create a Group either Internal (To collaborate with people inside your organisation) or External (To collaborate with people outside your organisation).

Below are the important ways you can use Yammer to communicate with your co-workers -

• With the update option, you can update on the current task you are working on, while mentioning people, which will notify them as well. So, your Coworkers will know what you are working on currently.
• With the Question option, you can ask questions in the Group, even mentioning them, if it's meant for a single individual.
• With the Poll option, you can raise a poll and receive responses from your coworkers.
• With the Praise option, you can praise your coworkers on their achievements and good work.
• From the Announcement option, you can make Announcements for the whole organization or a Group of people.

You can also insert Gifs making communication more fun.

You also get the option of inserting files from Sharepoint or your Desktop.

Yammer is a very good tool which saves time, which you would otherwise be investing in mailing individually for Polls or Announcements.
