Two Latest Features in Now More Improved Google Sheets

Google sheets is one of the most essential collaborative features of G Suite. From now users can sort or filter their data by text or background color. Users can now also set a customizable chart in Google sheets.

Two Latest Features in Now More Improved Google Sheets

Google Sheets, the most essential collaborative tool of G Suite, is now getting enhanced by it’s latest sorting feature.

One of the latest features will help G Suite end-users to filter and sort the cells by

  • Text Color

  • Fill Color (Background Colour)

How Does It Help?

Previously users could only sort the cells by the values and conditions. But now the latest feature has made sorting sheets easier. Even no admin action required for this feature.

How to Do?

These features will be turned on by default for all G Suite end-users. To implement this feature:

Open the Sheets> Select Filter> Filter by Color, after that you may select “Fill Color” or “Text Color”.

The matching cells would be displayed at the top of the range.

Another essential feature of Google Sheets has been introduced using which now users can set custom table ranges in charts.

How Does It Help?

While creating the reports, users often create more than one chart from the same data table but using different column ranges. Hence all data ranges were used while creating a chart. However here onwards users may select the particular charts that can be used for the chart axis and series. This will help users to customize the chart in a faster way.

How to Use the Feature?

This feature will be turned on by default. In the chart editor, you may select a column as X-axis and under “Series” you may select additional columns for populating the chart.

Availability: These features are available for all G Suite users.
