Send Email from Alias in Microsoft 365
This article focuses on the benefits of using Alias in M365. An email alias id allows you to use it as a virtual email address that will forward incoming messages to your primary id without having to set up additional mail boxes.

An alias email address is an additional address associated with your account that you can use to send or reply to emails and also receive emails in your primary id.
Sending mail from alias id introduced recently by Microsoft, is one of the most helpful features in M365.
Benefit of Using Alias:-
An email alias id allows you to use it as a virtual email address that will forward incoming messages to your primary id without having to set up additional mail boxes. For using the email alias no need to pay for that id. It also allows you to send mail on behalf of the primary id but the most important thing is that the alias id does not contain any physical mailbox but we can use this id for inbound and outbound purposes. If we renamed any primary id then the previous id is automatically added as an alias of the new id.If any mail received in the previous id “(Alias id)”, that mail will not be bounced back.
Add Alias in mail id:-
M365 Admin panel > User > Active User > Open the created user > Alias > Manage user name & email > add alias id > Save
The alias option is turned off by default in the admin panel, so if you want to send mail using this feature, you will need to enable it in the Exchange Online Admin center or with PowerShell.
