Five Amazing Features of One Note

1. Want to Insert space in the middle of the long text?

Click and drag down for more space, click and drag up to remove space.

Click Insert > Insert Space

This feature is not limited to dragging only up or down. It can be used to generate margin or space on the left side i.e to push the text leftwards or rightwards.

2. Usually we have preconceived notions that mathematical operations are usually done in MS Excel. One Note can perform certain basic mathematical operations.

Type the numerical digits and respective mathematical operator, then type Equals Sign(=) and Press Enter Key or Space Key.

Now suppose if I want to calculate Profit%;

So, I have to (Profit/Revenue)*100

From now onwards, stop depending on MS Excel or calculator for all basic calculations

3. Quick links in OneNote has become so easy that it can be created with Double open & closed square Bracket

First, create a section. I have created a Section as Infiflex and Saved it. With the Name of section, I can share data of this complete section in some other file as a Quick link

Let’s see through an example.

Now as you click on Infiflex which is in Blue text, the Infiflex section will open and you can go through the details about it. Hence it acts as a Quick Link. A great way to create Links.

4. Extract Text from Graphics with just a click.

Click on the Right button of Mouse > click on Copy Text from picture > Paste options(Keep text only).

This feature will help you while giving a presentation to clients using graphics

5. Office 365 has an inbuilt screen captures facility which will replace the Snipping features facility.

Press Windows Key+Shift key+S

A window will open after taking out the portion i.e. needed then copy to clipboard or section of One Note.
